Air Cargo Community Frankfurt welcomes six new members

Air Cargo Community Frankfurt has welcomed a further six new members.

Freight forwarders a. hartrodt, AF Logistik, Bolloré and Hermes will support the work of the community while BDA Logistics Innovation has also joined the group of airlines.

The community has also welcomed the University RheinMain in Wiesbaden. Besides the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, this institution is the second university to get involved in the community.

They were all welcomed at the community group’s general meeting on 13 September.

Air Cargo Community Frankfurt executive director, Joachim von Winning says: “The newest additions to our community show that the close cooperation between all players in the airfreight supply chain at Frankfurt Airport has been recognised as attractive and important.

“Within the community we push this cooperation forward on many levels, for example with regard to digitalization, or to promote a mutual understanding for large parts of the supply chain at Frankfurt Airport. In doing so, we ensure the appeal of our location as Europe’s leading cargo hub.”

Members want to shape the transportation processes at Frankfurt Airport. To reach this goal, cross-industry cooperation is needed, explains chairman of the executive board of the community, Soeren Stark: “We have a lot of intersections regarding the topics and challenges that concern us here at Frankfurt airport. And in these areas we will work on pushing things forward.”
