The Frankfurt Air Cargo Community Conference 2025 officially opened this morning in Frankfurt, marking a milestone 10th anniversary for the event. Held at Deutsche Bank Park, the gathering has drawn delegates from across the world, securing its largest attendance yet.
Opening the event, board member Susanne Klingler-Werner reflected on the community’s journey over the past decade. “We started significantly smaller, 10 years ago, as a gathering of local colleagues discussing daily operations and sharing ideas,” she told delegates. “Now, a decade later, we have evolved into a global event, attracting industry leaders, experts and innovators from all corners of the world. This has been a journey of 10 years – and we are just getting started.”
A highlight of the agenda will be a panel bringing together leaders from Europe’s major cargo hubs – with Frankfurt, the continent’s largest hub, firmly at the centre of the discussion. The two-day event also features innovation spaces, workshops, and networking opportunities, capped by a 10th anniversary dinner and a celebratory stadium tour.
Taking the stage after the opening, Felix Toepsch, CEO of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt, welcomed attendees and paid tribute to the partners who made the event possible, including Messe Frankfurt and the city’s tourism board. “Everything we do in our community is never done by one or two, not even 10 people,” he said. “It is a tremendous group effort, and I am proud to stand here on behalf of such a committed network.”
Toepsch drew attention to new features for 2025, including a dedicated Lufthansa Innovation Stage, focused on sustainability and start-up showcases, which will culminate in the Innovation Award ceremony. Delegates were also encouraged to use the newly launched event app to navigate the programme, connect with peers and submit questions to speakers.
Highlighting the breadth of this year’s programme, which spans everything from sports logistics and Formula One supply chains to military logistics with insights from the Bundeswehr, Klingler-Werner concluded by declaring: “Our industry is truly international by nature, and only through global exchange can we succeed and innovate together.”
