As global trade continues to evolve amid digital transformation and geopolitical flux, Southeast Asia is emerging as a vital node in the global supply chain. At the centre of this rising importance is Singapore—a strategic hub for multimodal logistics and airfreight. From 29–31 October, the city-state will once again host Transport Logistic Southeast Asia and Air Cargo Southeast Asia (tlacSEA), an event designed to connect the region’s logistics, shipping, and airfreight ecosystem.
With over 10,000 expected attendees and 300 exhibitors, the show promises to be a high-impact convergence of innovation, sustainability, and strategic connectivity.
“We have three different stages on the show floor. They will focus on a number of different themes,” said Michael Wilton, CEO and managing director at MMI Asia. “Innovation, sustainability, and digitalisation are key themes that will run through these topics.”
More than 90 curated sessions will cover critical areas such as warehousing, automation, green logistics, AI, and project cargo, with a strong emphasis on regional priorities.
“There will be dedicated sessions on transport logistics and project cargo, as well as a number of exhibitors highlighting their expertise in this sector,” Wilton said.
The goal is not just to showcase technology, but to create a platform for meaningful collaboration and knowledge-sharing. “These sessions are designed to give attendees insights into best practices throughout the supply chain sector,” he added.
Why Singapore? Why now?
As a global logistics hub, Singapore is no stranger to cargo prominence. Strategically positioned and backed by world-class infrastructure, it’s more than a regional centre—it’s a launchpad for global movement.
“Singapore is a natural hub for logistics and airfreight,” said Wilton. “Geographically, it’s very strategic and historically important for logistics.”
But the city’s relevance isn’t limited to airfreight. “Singapore also has a strong maritime heritage,” he added. “Maritime will feature quite strongly among our exhibitors.”
This perspective is especially crucial as supply chains diversify away from single-market dependencies. “This is not just a Singapore show,” Wilton emphasised. “It’s a place for the entire Southeast Asian region to meet and solve challenges related to supply chains and distribution.”
The event is part of a broader ecosystem of alternating shows—one year in China, the next in Southeast Asia—ensuring year-round access to Asia’s supply chain heartbeat.
“It dovetails very nicely with the China show,” Wilton explained. “This services the industry perfectly.”
Who you’ll meet and why it matters
The exhibition floor will feature a robust mix of industry giants and regional specialists. Attendees can expect to see participants spanning airports, airlines, ports, shipping lines, ground handlers, and tech innovators.
“We have a strong airfreight presence,” said Wilton. “Changi Airport is a vital node not just for Southeast Asia, but for the world.”
However, it’s not just about airfreight. The show’s diverse exhibitor list reflects a truly multimodal approach. “We’ll also have representation from sea and road service providers,” Wilton said.
From a visitor standpoint, the event draws shippers, logistics managers, freight forwarders, and supply chain executives from across the ASEAN region and beyond.
“This is the primary meeting place for them to connect with service providers who can help move their product from A to B,” Wilton said. “Whether you’re in distribution, manufacturing, or logistics strategy—this is the place to be.”
Don’t miss the moment
With the show just months away, Wilton had a clear message for those contemplating attendance:
“If you’re looking at global shipments or those moving through Asia, then Southeast Asia—and Singapore in particular—is vital,” he said. “You’ll meet with all the key players—airports, ports, airlines, and shipping companies.”
For those in the logistics, transport, or supply chain sectors, the event is a chance to connect, learn, and future-proof their operations.
“If you’re in the industry, then Transport Logistic Southeast Asia and Air Cargo Southeast Asia is the event for you,” he stressed.
And with the accelerating convergence of sustainability goals, digital disruption, and infrastructure investment, the show comes at a pivotal moment.
“We look forward to welcoming you at the show,” Wilton concluded.
