Air Astana signs codeshare agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines

Air Astana signs codeshare agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines

Air Astana, the national airline of Kazakhstan, is expanding its global network of codeshare agreements through intensive cooperation with Azerbaijan Airlines on the route between Baku, Azerbaijan and Almaty, Kazakhstan. The two airlines now operate joint flights on this route five times a week in both directions.

Thanks to the new codesharing partnership, Air Astana passengers will enjoy greater flexibility, additional comfort and more travel options between the Central Asian countries. They will also gain access to both airlines’ networks and services.

The codeshare with Azerbaijan Airlines is Air Astana’s seventh codeshare agreement. The airline already has similar agreements with Lufthansa, Asiana Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Cathay Pacific, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Turkish Airlines. Air Astana is also looking into further partnerships with other airlines on a codeshare or interlining basis.
