Air France KLM Martinair Cargo recently completed a successful charter flight, showcasing its expertise in handling oversized and critical cargo. The operation involved transporting large aircraft wings from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) to Viracopos International Airport (VCP).

The wings, with a combined length of 33.5 meters and a volume of 235 cubic meters, were carefully loaded onto the main deck for secure transport.

This specialised shipment was handled in collaboration with JTM GROUP, who entrusted Air France KLM Martinair Cargo with this valuable and sensitive cargo. The complexity of the operation required precise planning and execution, and the team at Air France KLM Martinair Cargo displayed exceptional skill throughout the process.

The operation was recently shared on the company’s LinkedIn page, where images from the flight were posted, showcasing the impressive logistics involved in the project.

“We recently operated a successful charter flight from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) to Viracopos International Airport (VCP). The shipment included critical large aircraft wings with a combined length of 33.5 metres and a volume of 235 m³, all fully loaded on the main deck,” said in a LinkedIn post.
