Recent developments have seriously disrupted the normal flow of goods between mainland Europe and the United Kingdom, AFKLMP Cargo have warned.
In order to meet the demand from customers, shippers and, ultimately, the citizens of the UK, AFKLMP Cargo will be operating additional wide body belly (WBB) capacity during the festive season. WBB capacity makes it specifically possible to transport urgent, critical shipments.
The flights will be operated from Schiphol to London Heathrow and back. For the time being, four additional flights will be operated using KLM Airbus A330 equipment on 25 and 26 December. The situation is being monitored closely and further adaptions of the network will take place when necessary from hubs in Paris Charles de Gaulle or Amsterdam Schiphol.
GertJan Roelands, SVP Sales & Distribution Air France KLM Martinair Cargo commented: “Air France KLM Martinair Cargo aims to keep supply chains moving in order to meet the demands and wishes of our customers. We are especially pleased with the additional wide body belly capacity to/from LHR during this critical period, because the UK is a strategic market for us.”
