AF-KL-MP introduces Kold Kart

Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AF-KL-MP) has introduced its ‘Kold Kart’ for safe transportation of cool chain products at airports in hot climates.

It has started using the Kold Kart in Mexico where high temperatures are normal and ramp operations are quite distant from the warehouse. AF-KL-MP will be introducing the Kold Kart in other locations and says it is fully compatible with palletised unit load devices.

The airline says Kold Kart is designed for temperature sensitive cargo such as perishables and pharmaceuticals, which need to kept at constant temperatures so as not to damage the cargo, something which regularly concerns customers.
