Aero Africa makes new appointments

Aero Africa, the Hong Kong based air cargo management group, has welcomed two new specialists to its management team.

Aero Africa Southern Africa has announced the appointment of Kati Mackay as regional financial manager. Mackay will be responsible for the financial resources at Aero Africa, supporting the executive management team and offering insights and financial advice.

She will be based in the regional head-office in Durban, South Africa. She has more than 10 years’ experience in the finance field and began her career abroad in London working for Royal Bank of Scotland before moving back to South Africa and taking on a financial management role in the clearing and forwarding industry. 

Mackay earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management cum laude and holds a CIMA Dip MA accreditation.

Aero Africa Sub Saharan Africa (Pty) Ltd has also announced the appointment of Jarryd Niescior as regional operations manager.

Niescior will be responsible for regional operations in South Africa as well as growing the Final Mile Solutions product across the rest of Africa, further enhancing Aero-Africa’s presence on the African continent.

Niescior started his career in Logistics in 2012 and spent five years at Neutral Wholesaler CFR Freight SA (Pty) Ltd. He has also done consulting work for many of the larger corporates further enhancing his airfreight capabilities on both imports and exports.

He has built up extensive knowledge in the airfreight industry and possess’ fundamental airfreight skills and training that has provided him with a reputable image within the airfreight industry. Niescior will also be very instrumental in rolling out the Aero-Africa digital platform in Africa.
