AEI announces two B737-400SF freighter conversions

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has announced that Saltillo, Mexico-based Aeronaves T.S.M. S.A. de C.V. (TSM) has exercised an option for a B737-400SF and included one additional B737-400SF freighter conversion in this order.

In November 2020, AEI announced the first B737-400SF freighter conversion for TSM with one option.

The option aircraft (MSN TBD) will commence modification in September 2021. All modification touch labor and maintenance requirements will be performed by the authorised AEI Conversion Centre, Commercial Jet, in Dothan, Alabama. The second aircraft will commence modification in January 2022.

TSM currently has several AEI freighters undergoing modification, including one B737-400SF, two CRJ200 SF, and one MD-83SF.

AEI’s B737-400SF shall provide TSM with a highly flexible Ancra CLS capable of carrying multiple ULD’s including:

  • (10) 88”x125” ULDs in P1 to P10 and
  • (1) 53”x88”x64” Pallet or AEP/AEH or 60.4”x61.5” AKE/LD3 or 61.5”x88”x56”H AYY in P11
