Accelya and flydubai renew and enhance decade-long cargo partnership

Accelya, a leading global software provider to the travel industry, today announces it has signed a multi-year FLX Cargo renewal with flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, creating an end-to-end cargo platform offering.

The new services will enhance Flydubai’s digital distribution capabilities through a highly functional, customer self-service tool and enable connectivity to a wide range of third parties through Accelya’s catalogue of APIs.

Accelya’s end-to-end platform offers insights and data to maximise revenue opportunities, increase margins, and create, develop and distribute new products across multiple channels. The airline will also continue optimising and distributing offers, managing the order lifecycle, and delivering network-wide operations and unit load (ULD) management.

Mohamed Hassan, Senior Vice President of Airport Services & Cargo at flydubai, comments: “Since the launch of flydubai Cargo in 2012, we have always looked for opportunities to invest in innovative solutions to optimise our cargo capabilities. The renewal and expansion of our partnership with Accelya reaffirm our commitment to adopting best-in-class practices in the industry, and we look forward to enhancing our offering as we continue to grow our operational reach for cargo.”

From its home in Dubai, flydubai Cargo has a global operation that spans more than 150 destinations in 54 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and Southeast Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

Accelya’s FLX Cargo solution digitises every aspect of the cargo booking and operations processes – from settlement offers – to providing the carrier greater commercial and operational control, including command over its distribution channels. The flydubai renewal supports Accelya’s strategic presence in the Middle East and marks another primary FLX Cargo Platform contract signature.

Andrew Wilcock, Chief Revenue Officer at Accelya, adds: Working in partnership with flydubai for over a decade, we’re proud that our solutions continue to help deliver their digital distribution strategies. With our added Offer and Order solutions, flydubai can experience our full end-to-end platform offering, providing scalability and empowering their further growth. We look forward to continuing our momentum in the Middle East and are proud to call flydubai partners.”
