Abu Dhabi International Airport

Abu Dhabi International Airport saw cargo volumes rise by 3.8 per cent in 2015 to 827,456 tonnes despite the end of the year declining.

In December, volumes fell by 3.9 per cent to 66,987 tonnes and having seen a year-on-year fall in November of 7.2 per cent to 70,276 tonnes. This is following a fall of 4.4 per cent in October to 69,005 tonnes, and down 1.1 per cent in September to 67,163 tonnes.

The airport’s operator, Abu Dhabi Airports chief operations officer, Ahmad Al Haddabi says: “We continue to witness double digit traffic growth [for passengers] at Abu Dhabi International Airport. To cross the two million [passenger] mark for the first time in our history, for four months of the year, is a testament to the airport’s ability to connect the world.”
