ABC receives the Bembel prize

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has been awarded the Bembel prize which is presented by Frankfurt Cargo Services (FCS) every year to acknowledge the best performers in the air cargo industry handled by FCS in Frankfurt airport.

The carrier, which has transported over 120,000 tonnes of cargo to/from Frankfurt airport for 2020, managed to achieve over 5% increase in volumes and contributed to overall FCS growth despite challenging market situation and disruptions in scheduled operations during springtime thus winning the first place for most cargo volumes carried in 2020.

“We would like to thank our long-standing partner for acknowledgement and this nice tradition, which has been kept for so many years,” commented Diana Schoeneich, Senior Director European Region at AirBridgeCargo Airlines.

“With ABC being among the winners since 2009, we are grateful to FCS for our successful partnership and support, especially during the pandemic. Delivering much-needed cargo has been a challenging task in 2020 but thanks to the teamwork, aligned internal processes and commitment of our personnel we have managed to continue supporting our European customers, as well as have contributed to the battle against COVID-19 spread in Germany while carrying over 4,000 tonnes of dedicated cargo.”

This year with official award ceremony being cancelled, the Hessisch Bembel, a jug used for the famous Hessian apple wine, was handed by Managing Director Claus Wagner at ABC’s Frankfurt office.

At the moment ABC operates 17 weekly rotations to/from Frankfurt airport to leverage various types of cargo for its customers.
