AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has delivered more than two hundred art objects on scheduled flights from Moscow (Russia) to Hong Kong (China) aboard a Boeing 747-8F cargo plane.

Together with the ART-Courier company, ABC specialists organised the transportation of museum valuables from the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums for the exhibition “All Russia Autocrat. Holiness and Greatness of Power,” which will be held in Hong Kong from May 29, 2021 to August 29, 2021. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to immerse themselves in the era of the reign of Ivan the Terrible and his followers, as well as see more than 170 art objects of the 16th and 18th centuries rarely leaving the museum funds of Russia.

Nikolai Petrovich Glushnev, general director of AirBridgeCargo, said: “We are proud to be a part of international exhibition projects, especially now that we are returning to normal life, and cultural projects that have been frozen are gradually starting to be implemented. The accumulated experience and expertise, knowledge of the peculiarities of transportation of art objects, built relationships with high-quality and reliable partners, such as ART-Courier, help us safely transport valuable goods – from paintings to exquisite jewellery.”

The successful delivery of art objects directly depends on the correct packaging. For the long flight from Moscow to Hong Kong, wooden climatic boxes were chosen, which meet the museum’s safety requirements and are made of acid-free and non-toxic material that does not have a negative effect. Additionally, the boxes were equipped with shock sensors, which guarantees the safety of the cargo during transportation.
