AA Cargo picks IBS iCloud as its cargo management system

American Airlines Cargo has chosen IBS Software’s iCloud as its next generation cargo management system, which it says will transform the airline’s technology across the network.

Using iCloud, the airline will migrate to a web-based, fully integrated technology platform connecting all of its critical business functions.

The two companies are designing a multi-year, phased implementation and rollout strategy, which ensures the new technology and processes are brought into the business in a seamless manner.

The airline says it is committed to taking an iterative approach to the implementation to ensure day-to-day business functions run smoothly during the transition, minimising the impact go live will have on partners and customers.

American Airlines Cargo president, Rick Elieson says: “We are focused on modernising processes for our team, and increasing transparency and flexibility for our customers. The rapidly changing cargo landscape demands that we invest in the best of tools, so that our team can focus on doing what they do best—delivering an exceptional customer experience.”

IBS Group executive chairman, VK Mathews says: “The iCargo footprint is now truly global and having American among our growing list of customers is indeed a strategic milestone for IBS. The engagement, I am sure, will herald the beginning of a long and productive business relationship.”
