A vision for the future of global aviation

The Future Aviation Forum 2024 held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre in Riyadh brought together aviation leaders, innovators, and policymakers from around the globe to discuss the future trajectory of the aviation industry.

Alongside addresses from senior figures, the event saw attendees engage in a series of panel discussions and presentations covering a wide range of topics. These included the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in aviation operations, advancements in aircraft design and propulsion systems, and strategies for enhancing passenger experience through digital innovation.

The Future Aviation Forum 2024 also featured an extensive exhibition showcasing the latest innovations in aerospace technology. Participants had the opportunity to explore interactive displays and demonstrations from leading companies and research institutions, offering a glimpse into the future of flight.

The forum’s keynote speech was delivered by His Excellency Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia, setting a visionary tone for the forum that was focused on innovation.

In his address, H.E. Eng. Al Jasser highlighted the rapid advancements in aviation technology and the importance of sustainable practices in ensuring the industry’s long-term growth.

“Today, we stand on the cusp of a new era in aviation,” he stated.

“The Future Aviation Forum 2024 serves as a platform for us to collectively explore the transformative potential of emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and enhanced connectivity.

The minister also elaborated on the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce dependency on oil by developing key sectors, including aviation.

“Saudi Arabia is dedicated to fostering a forward-thinking aviation ecosystem that not only meets the needs of today but also anticipates the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow,” the minister added, pointing to the expansion of major airports, introduction of cutting-edge air traffic management systems, and partnerships with leading global aerospace companies.
