Menzies Aviation has announced the appointment of Jonathan Hankin as Head of ESG.
Jonathan steps into the role with more than 20 years of aviation experience, including 12 years in the Royal Air Force. A qualified mechanical engineer with training in safety and environmental management, Jonathan has built a strong track record since joining Menzies Aviation in 2017.
Most recently, Jonathan served as Vice President GSE Safety and Sustainability, where he has played a key role in advancing Menzies’ transition to electric and low-emission ground support equipment (GSE). His leadership has been central to developing safer, cleaner, and more efficient operational practices across the company’s global network.
As Head of ESG, Jonathan will oversee the continued evolution of Menzies’ All In strategy, including progressing commitments on diversity, equity and inclusion, carbon reduction initiatives to reach net zero by 2045, and ensuring responsible sourcing and ethical supply chain practices. His appointment follows the departure of Katy Reid, Head of Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility, who after 18 years with Menzies takes on a new opportunity outside of the business.
John Geddes, Chief Governance and Sustainability Officer & Company Secretary at Menzies Aviation, commented: “Our All In strategy remains central to how we operate and grow. Since joining us, Jonathan has shown strong leadership in improving the safety, efficiency and sustainability of our operations, notably through modernising and decarbonising our GSE fleet. Thank you to Katy Reid, whose work in shaping our ESG agenda and establishing the All In framework has given us a clear and solid foundation. Jonathan will now build on that progress as we continue driving meaningful, long-term improvements across our global business.”
