- Antonov Airlines, in collaboration with Kuehne + Nagel, has successfully transported oversized woodyard machinery parts for ANDRITZ from Tallinn, Estonia to Chile using the AN-124-100 aircraft. The shipment included seven pieces of cargo, with the heaviest weighing around 20 tonnes.
- The loading and unloading process involved the aircraft’s rear cargo door and onboard crane systems, highlighting the AN-124’s unique heavy-lift capabilities.
- The time-critical delivery supported scheduled repair works at a woodworking mill in Chile and required precise planning due to the size and urgency of the cargo. Antonov’s load planning team played a key role in safely accommodating the specialised equipment.
