Star Alliance appoints Simon Ralph as Managing Director UK

  • Star Alliance has appointed Simon Ralph as Managing Director for the United Kingdom, based at London Heathrow, to lead UK engagement and strategic projects enhancing connectivity and member airline customer experience
  • Ralph brings over 25 years of aviation experience, joining from IATA where he held senior roles in member and external relations across London, Montreal, and Geneva
  • Heathrow’s Terminal 2, known as the Star Alliance terminal, hosts 22 member airlines, serving over 13 million passengers annually, with shared facilities including check-in, Gold Track security, Star Connection Centre, and executive lounges

 

Star Alliance, the world’s first and largest global airline alliance, has announced the appointment of Simon Ralph as its Managing Director for the United Kingdom.

Based at London Heathrow and working closely with the HQ in Singapore, Ralph will lead Star Alliance’s engagement in the UK, advancing strategic projects that enhance seamless connectivity and elevate the experience of member airline customers. He will work proactively with airport stakeholders for the Alliance’s collective interests at Heathrow and oversee initiatives that strengthen operational performance and strategic value for the Alliance.

Simon has more than 25 years’ experience in the aviation industry. He joins Star Alliance from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where he served as Director External Relations. During his time at IATA, he held a range of member and external relations related roles in London, Montreal and Geneva.
