UK-based Saxon Air has announced a new partnership with Resilient Pilot, a UK CAA-approved training organisation, to deliver the ATPL(A) Theory / KSA 100 Programme from October 2025. The course is designed to provide aspiring airline pilots with a comprehensive, industry-focused pathway into the flight deck.
The 12-month programme will offer places for an additional 10–15 students in this intake. Delivered by operational airline pilots, it combines academic rigour with practical, scenario-based training to prepare students for the realities of airline operations from day one.
Programme highlights include:
- UK CAA-approved syllabus delivered by Resilient Pilot instructors.
- Dedicated mentoring from experienced, current airline pilots.
- Virtual scenario-based training, simulating life on the flight deck.
- Course materials from PadPilot, an industry-leading distance learning provider.
- Three modules covering 14 subject areas, supported by 15 days of intensive face-to-face “brush-up” sessions.
- Exclusive access to Resilience Deck – the industry’s first human factors and competency development app, designed by pilots and aviation coaches.
- Embedded KSA (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes) training throughout the course.
The programme is structured to bridge the gap between theory and professional practice, ensuring candidates not only succeed in exams but also build the competencies and mindset required by today’s airlines.
Neil Turnbull, Director of Klyne Training, shared: “At Saxon Air, we are passionate about opening pathways into aviation and supporting the next generation of pilots. Partnering with Resilient Pilot allows us to deliver a truly forward-thinking ATPL(A) programme that goes beyond the classroom, combining world-class learning with real-life operational mentoring.”
Stuart Beech, Founder and CEO of Resilient Pilot, added: “We are delighted to partner with Saxon Air to deliver our ATPL(A) programme. We embed knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes throughout the programme, ensuring participants develop the mindset required for a career on the flightdeck. Like Saxon Air, we are passionate about supporting aspiring aviators and look forward to working together on this exciting initiative.”
Applications are now open, with limited capacity. Students and aspiring pilots are encouraged to apply early to secure a place.
