Squair India, the Mumbai-based subsidiary of Squair specialising in AWB data capture services for airlines, has reached an important milestone in its development, with the team now numbering 25 employees and forecast to reach 29 by the end of the year.
This remarkable growth since its creation in late 2022, when it started with just 3 employees, reflects both the strength of Squair’s business model and the increasing demand for AWB data capture and verification. Outsourcing this essential yet time-consuming process allows GSAs and airlines to fully dedicate their efforts to front-end customer service, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and driving stronger business performance. What’s more, the service reduces Charges Correction Advices (CCAs) and minimises operational costs.
Today, a team of 25 Squair staff supports 31 airlines worldwide, processing an average of 45k AWB per month on behalf of GSAs and global partners. This expansion has led to the relocation of the team into a new 185 sq m office space in Andheri East, Mumbai. Doubling the size of its previous premises, the new office offers a sleek and collaborative environment in line with Squair’s values and long-term vision. Its central location close to Mumbai International Airport reduces commuting times for employees and fosters stronger connectivity with the air cargo hub where the company was first established.
“Our success in India is the result of a deliberate strategy: building long-term expertise in data capture where talent and infrastructure are strong, and aligning that growth with the global ambitions of Squair,” said Dimitri Arnaudin, Managing Director of Squair. “India is no longer just a support centre, it’s a cornerstone of our future growth and innovation.”
Ian-Alexandre McMartin, General Manager of Squair, emphasized the commercial impact: “Our scalable team in India enables agile responses to airline needs with high-quality service. By reinforcing our presence here, we are securing the operational backbone that will allow us to expand our service portfolio and support our partners with greater efficiency worldwide.”
With its rapid growth, Squair India is also setting standards for sustainability and inclusion. The team operates on a fully cloud-based IT architecture, making the company entirely paperless, and the choice of office location supports the use of shared transport. In addition, two out of three management positions in Mumbai are currently held by women, reflecting Squair’s commitment to gender equity. These foundations position Squair India to continue leading in data capture excellence and to expand soon into new services like producing Cargo Sales Reports.
