  • Hands-on expertise across transformations: Founded by cargo veterans Jelle Declerck and Mathieu Sérafimoff, the consultancy delivers network strategy, tenant acquisition, process optimisation, and compliance alignment during periods of change and expansion.
  • Culture-driven, results-focused growth: SkyForge combines C-suite insight with warehouse-floor experience, maintaining a boutique, action-oriented approach while building lasting value for clients in the evolving air cargo industry.

Bridging the gap between high-level ambition and operational execution, SkyForge is carving out a space for pragmatic, results-driven support. Founded by two air cargo veterans, the consultancy was introduced to the market not with fanfare, but with purpose: to be the missing link between boardroom decisions and warehouse realities. Its founders, Jelle Declerck and Mathieu Sérafimoff, spent over a decade navigating the complexities of cargo aviation, witnessing firsthand where things tend to fall apart.

“Having worked in senior roles at ground handling agents, we both witnessed how often strategic decisions get stuck between vision and execution,” the duo explained. “SkyForge is not a classic consultancy. We combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Our approach is pragmatic: we don’t just advise, we help implement.”

From vision to velocity

SkyForge’s client base is as varied as the challenges it helps solve. From airports and ground handling agents to logistics firms and infrastructure investors, the consultancy tends to show up during moments of transformation.

“We work with airports, ground handling agents, logistics operators, and investors — especially those undergoing change or expansion,” the founders explained. “Whether it’s network strategy, tenant acquisition, process optimisation, or compliance alignment, we’re brought in when stakeholders need both credibility and traction across departments.”

Launching the business at Air Cargo Europe was a strategic move — one that signalled both their timing and intent. “It’s a key moment in the industry calendar — the perfect place to introduce SkyForge,” they said. “The response was very encouraging. People recognised the value of a consultancy that blends expertise with execution — not just PowerPoint, but action.”

The early momentum seems to be translating into substantial projects.

“We’re currently active on several projects — from supporting airport development teams to helping streamline ground operations,” they note. “Behind the scenes, we’re building our own operational network and getting ready to launch our full website. But most of all, we’re focused on creating real, lasting value for our clients.”

This emphasis on real-world results rather than theoretical frameworks is a recurring theme. SkyForge’s value proposition lies in its ability to step into complex operational environments and start delivering progress where it’s needed most.

“The industry is evolving rapidly — from digitalisation and sustainability demands to post-Covid-19 reorganisation and competitive airport positioning,” they explain. “Many of our clients know where they want to go, but not always how to get there. That’s where we step in: to untangle complexity and help translate strategy into progress.”

Culture, connection, and the road ahead

For a consultancy rooted in practical action, culture matters. And at SkyForge, that culture is as intentional as its client work.

“We’re building a company that reflects who we are: sharp, pragmatic, and collaborative,” they say. “We’re not about hierarchy or ivory towers — we’re about substance, trust, and delivery.”

That means being equally comfortable on the warehouse floor or in the C-suite — a balance that few consultancies claim and even fewer achieve.

“Whether we’re in a warehouse or a boardroom, our culture is grounded in clarity, action, and connection,” they add.

Looking ahead, SkyForge has its eyes on purposeful growth — scaling without losing what makes it different. “We see SkyForge becoming a trusted long-term partner for organisations shaping the future of air cargo,” they say. “That means expanding our team and network, staying close to operations, and continuing to combine consultancy with tangible, on-the-ground execution.”

Yet, even as they grow, they’re clear about maintaining their boutique edge. “We want to stay boutique — but impactful.”
