Strike Aviation Joins Forces with Icelandair to Expand Transatlantic Air Cargo Network

Strike Aviation, a cargo GSSA company, has signed a cooperation agreement with the air carrier Icelandair, aiming to expand Strike Aviation’s presence on air cargo routes between Europe and North America. The agreement came into force on June 1st.

According to representatives from Strike Aviation, this marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation with Icelandair and the partnership’s initial steps in the Baltic region, with expectations that it will expand geographically over time.

“The partnership with Icelandair opens up significant potential for our company and reflects Strike Aviation’s ambition to establish itself on the most attractive air freight routes. Icelandair operates both passenger and freighter aircrafts, so we are truly looking forward to strong synergies operating between the two continents – Europe and North America. We are proud to become part of this important network in the global air cargo landscape,”

Icelandair is a leading airline offering flights to, from, via and within Iceland. The company operates both domestically and internationally. The airline makes use of the country’s geographical location, midway between North America and Europe, to build an ever-growing network of international routes, with Iceland as a hub. Icelandair is a part of Icelandair Group.

Strike Aviation will launch its air cargo operations with Icelandair from Liège Airport in Belgium to Reykjavik, and onward from Reykjavik to airports across North America.
