Investec Aviation Finance (Investec) has provided US $90 million of senior debt financing for Atlas Air, a leading provider of outsourced aircraft and aviation operating services and the largest outsourced airfreight provider in the world with a fleet of more than 90 dedicated long-haul freighter aircraft.
Investec was able to structure and underwrite a transaction within a month for the acquisition of three aircraft that are fundamental to the Atlas Air strategy of supporting key supply chains globally in a growing e-commerce marketplace. In doing so, Investec was able to apply its deep understanding of the market to meet challenging timelines for a large, syndicated facility against specialist aircraft collateral.
