Swiss WorldCargo, Cargologic and SATS sign signed for handling teaming

Swiss WorldCargo, Cargologic and SATS have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cargo handling and information services, and form the basis for future collaboration in areas such as temperature sensitive cargo.

The MoU was signed on 18 December 2014 in Zurich (Switzerland) by SWISS chief cargo officer, Oliver Evans, Cargologic managing director, Marco Gredig, and SATS president and chief executive officer, Alex Hungate.

The agreement outlines how the companies intend to improve handling through information technology, facility development, training, staff and management attachments and workshops.

The firms will also be jointly developing e-initiatives to simplify work processes and drive efficiency.

They have also agreed to focus on good distribution practice for temperature controlled airfreight such as pharmaceuticals.

Evans says: “We are very excited to embark on a long-term collaboration with them [Cargologic and SATS] as the reliability of ground processes is a key differentiating factor.”
