Nils Andersen appointed chairman of WFS

Nils Andersen has been appointed chairman of the board of directors at Worldwide Flight Services, taking over on 19 September.

He brings 19 years of leadership experience from executive and non-executive board roles at large listed and non-listed companies across industries including logistics, packaging, oil and gas, brewing and consumer goods.

Andersen has served as president and CEO of Carlsberg and AP Moller, and as chairman of AkzoNobel, and as a board member of BP and Unilever.

Welcoming Andersen to the board, Craig Smyth, CEO of WFS says: “I have no doubt that he will be a fantastic asset as we take the next step in the transformation of our company by combining our best-in-class service and market-leading security and safety with our ability to invest in new facilities, products, and solutions to support the growth of our customers.”
