Japan Airlines launches codeshare with Kalitta Air

Japan Airlines has launched a freighter codeshare with Kalitta Air, operating three times a week between Tokyo and Chicago.

The flights between Tokyo Narita and Chicago O’Hare started on 1 August and are operated by one of Kalitta Air’s Boeing 747-400 Freighters.

The services leave Chicago on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Tokyo the next day after a technical stop in Alaska.

Japan Airlines has chartered freighter flights based on seasonal demand for a number of years but this agreement will offer scheduled services between Asia and North America.
