Zhao to lead Silk Way West in Asia Pacific

Silk Way West Airlines has promoted Jenny Zhao to the role of vice president Asia Pacific region, taking up the role today (1 August).

She is responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction for further enhancing business operations in Asia Pacific, and takes over from Nurid Aliyev who has stepped down for personal reasons.

Wolfgang Meier, president and CEO of Silk Way West Airlines says: “Thanks to her long experience in the air cargo industry, Mrs. Jenny Zhao will be able to give a new impulse to the activities of Silk Way West Airlines in Asia-Pacific region, which operates in a highly competitive environment. Her expertise and capability in the sector would further increase customer satisfaction. I wish Mrs. Zhao success for her new assignment.”

Zhao has held senior management positions at various cargo airlines over the years including the last two years at Silk Way as CCO APAC and head of the Shanghai office.
