Menzies Aviation has renewed its cargo handling contracts with Thai Cargo in Oceania at five airports across Australia and New Zealand.
The five-year contract will see Menzies provide cargo handling services at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth airports in Australia, and in Auckland, New Zealand.
The Menzies teams will handle 40,000 tonnes of cargo per annum across five to six flights a day.
Giles Wilson, chief executive officer says: “Our operations in Oceania continue to go from strength to strength, demonstrating that the investment in our cargo portfolio in Australia in particular is paying off. Leveraging already existing relationships with airline partners such as Thai Cargo remains a key driver in growing our network, not just in this region, but globally.
“Today’s news is testament to the hard work and high standards of our cargo handling team, and we look forward to delivering best in class cargo solutions for Thai Cargo, ensuring that we remain their airline services partner of choice.”
Menzies has strengthened its position in Oceania with the acquisition of Gold Coast Air Terminal Services and opening cargo bases in Cairns and Melbourne.
In Auckland, Menzies has seen significant growth, most recently winning contracts with Korean Air and Qatar Airways.
