Lufthansa Cargo adds Chengdu to freighter network

Lufthansa Cargo has expanded its Chinese freighter network with two flights a week between Frankfurt and Chengdu.

The Boeing 777 Freighter services, flight number LH8410 started on 5 May, departing Frankfurt on Mondays and Saturdays, returning from Chengdu every Tuesday and Sunday.

Lufthansa Cargo vice president Asia Pacific, Frank Naeve says: “We are very proud to now be serving the western Chinese mega city of Chengdu twice a week with Boeing 777 freighter flights. This extension to our network will allow us to offer solutions for the booming markets in the west of China.”

Chengdu is Lufthansa Cargo’s fifth freighter destination in China after Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

Belly capacity is also offered to the cities in addition to Nanjing, Qingdao and Shenyang.
