Emirates flies first UAE built car to France for Le Mans 24 hours

Emirates SkyCargo has transported the first car designed and built in the UAE to France where it will be exhibited during the 24 hours of Le Mans endurance race.

Design-1 is designed and built in the UAE by Jannarelly Automotive with Equation Composites, the first company to acquire a car manufacturing licence in the country.

The Jannarelly Design-1 is inspired by classic sports cars of the 1960s and is a lightweight retro-futuristic car built using hi-tech composite materials, built by a small team of specialists.

It is valued between $70-90,000, allowing a high degree of customisation according to specific customer requirements.

Emirates SkyCargo worked with Prodex, a specialist freight forwarding company providing transport, logistics and warehousing services across a number of domains including the aerospace and automotive industry, to transport the Design-1 from Dubai to Lyon.

Emirates SkyCargo launched its SkyWheels to transport high value and premium automobiles.
