AEI to provide Aeronaves with two additional MD-80SF conversions

Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) has signed a contract to provide Aeronaves with two additional MD-83SF freighter conversions.

The first MD-83 (MSN 53288) will commence modification in the beginning of June and will be re-delivered in September 2017 and the second (MSN 53289) will start on 26 June and be returned in October 2017.

Commercial Jet’s Miami facility will perform the modification and maintenance requirements on the first aircraft, and its Dothan facility will work on the second aircraft.

The AEI MD-83SF will provide Aeronaves with an Ancra CLS capable of carrying 12 88” x 108” containers/pallets P1 to P12.

Aeronaves serves customers in the Americas including the US, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama with a fleet of 30 Metroliners, six Convair 640s, six DC-9-30s, two DC-9-15s, five MD-80SFs, four Citations and one Hawker.
