The GEFCO group has appointed Anthony Gunn as its new head of its freight forwarding division and activities.
With over 25 years of experience in the logistics sector, the company says Gunn has developed and carried out major transformation projects in Europe, the US and Asia.
GEFCO says Gunn’s objective will be to strengthen the profitable growth of GEFCO’s Freight Forwarding activity, while enhancing GEFCO’s position as a global player in industrial logistics.
Gunn was previously managing director Europe at XPO Logistics, formerly known as Menlo. He joined Menlo in 2000, where he held various management positions.
During the 16 years spent in Menlo, then XPO Logistics, Gunn built a team to double the region’s turnover and profit.
Gunn explains: “I am happy to join the GEFCO group, a leader in automotive and industrial logistics with a unique expertise in building long-lasting partnerships with global players.
“I see plenty of opportunities for synergies within GEFCO that will benefit our customers, such as developing strategic corridors and moving forward in digitalisation. Our teams are committed to supporting our clients in enhancing their supply chains as well as their growth and competitiveness.”
