Vietnam Airlines takes delivery of 10th Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Vietnam Airlines and Boeing have celebrated the delivery of the carrier’s 10th Boeing 787 Dreamliner with the new aircraft set to be deployed on services to Heathrow Airport shortly.

Vietnam Airlines executive vice president, Pha Xuan Duc says the 787 is one of the keys to its fleet expansion plans, and in establishing it as one of the leading carriers in Asia.

The airline took delivery of its first 787 Dreamliner in July 2015 and has nine more 787s on order.

Besides operating the next generation aircraft on its daily nonstop services from Heathrow since September 2015, it also operates 787s on the domestic Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route and international routes to/from Frankfurt, Narita and Beijing.

In 2017, 787s will also be introduced on Vietnam Airlines services to/from Sydney and Melbourne.
