AirBridgeCargo blasts past 2015 result in just 10 months

AirBridgeCargo (ABC) Airlines has continued to soar with tonnage growing 30 per cent in October, sending its year-to-date figure up 29 per cent.

In the first nine months of 2016, ABC handled 498,177 tonnes, compared to 483,000 tonnes in the whole of 2015, which had been a record-breaking year and October alone saw growth of 30 per cent to 57,608 tonnes.

Volga-Dnepr Group senior vice president, sales & marketing, Robert van de Weg says: “In such a challenging air cargo market, it is important to earn customer trust in the quality and reliability of your service and to demonstrate the ability to provide responsive solutions – now increasingly for special cargo categories like pharmaceuticals and off-size cargo.”

ABC has been growing its fleet and network, taking delivery of its ninth Boeing 747-8 Freighter in September. Its network has grown in 2016 with new Houston – Abu Dhabi services, and flights from Moscow to Chongqing, Phnom Penh, Seattle, Heathrow and Oslo.
