Antonov tests new tyres for AN-124 and AN-225

Antonov has undertaken test flights with tyres developed by Dunlop Aircraft Tyres to equip to its fleet of AN-124s and the AN-225 Mriya.

The test programme included flights with take-off weights of 340, 360 and 402 tonnes with different CG limit positions. The take-offs and landings were performed within the limits of expected operational conditions. Antonov says the tests were conducted in the presence of Dunlop Aircraft Tyres specialists including director of original equipment business, Martin Pye.

Antonov Company president, Oleksandr Kotsiuba says: “We have a good experience of cooperation with Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, the world’s only dedicated manufacturer and retreader of aircraft tyres, thorough our partnership on the AN-148/AN-158 programme.”
