Local media in Antigua have welcomed the added capacity and competition for cargo services
7Air Cargo has expanded its network with the addition of flights to Costa Rica and Antigua, building on its growing presence in the Americas.
The airline, which secured certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration in February, began operating weekly services between Miami International and VC Bird International Airport in St John’s on 10 September.
The route, operated by a Boeing 737-800 freighter, is being run in partnership with Globe Logisticz.
Local media in Antigua have welcomed the new service, describing it as offering much-needed extra capacity and competition to existing cargo flights.
“This marks the beginning of delivering services to a region that has long awaited a reliable and committed alternative,” the airline said in a LinkedIn post.
7Air Cargo has also begun operating twice-weekly flights to San José, Costa Rica, using its 737-800 aircraft.
