Carina Tüllmann, COO of Open Logistics Foundation, has been driving the spirit of collaboration in logistics and supply chain management since 2010. With a strong background in economics and marketing, she worked for Fraunhofer IML and Digital Hub Management GmbH for more than 10 years to foster and communicate research and innovation. Currently, she serves as the COO of Open Logistics Foundation.

What’s the biggest change you’ve seen in the industry?

The openness to speak about pain points and the willingness to honestly find joined solutions, overcoming silo-thinking.

What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever shipped?

A stone mortar.

What’s the best business lesson you’ve learned the hard way?

You really know about your network when times get rougher.

A neurosurgeon – the human brain is so fascinating!

My spotify-playlist, good food and sun glasses.

Coffee.

Dubai: what an inspiring atmosphere.

Listen carefully, translate it to the industry and connecting people, topics, opportunities.

it be?

Speaking more languages fluently, like Spanish.

What’s something on your bucket list?

A guided tour through Oman.

How did you get into airfreight/logistics?

A bit by accident: but always stuck with it. I love how everything is interconnected – and the people in my network.

“Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish” from Steve Jobs.

What is the most adventurous thing you have
ever done?

Diving in strong currents.

If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Margarete Steiff, Angela Merkel, Michelle Obama – three personalities with impressive life stories and a clear will to change.

What’s something we wouldn’t know about you from your CV?

During my youth I worked as a dance instructor.
