4D Supply Chain Consulting appoints Skellingsted vp and global head

Effective September 1, 2021, Thomas Skellingsted has been appointed vice president and global head of 4D Supply Chain Consulting Ltd, a deugro group enterprise.

In his role, Skellingsted is responsible for the global management and development of the client portfolio and service offering of supply chain and logistics activities for the 4D Supply Chain Consulting organisation. By building on his highly successful career in value-driven logistics and supply chain disciplines, Skellingsted will ensure that 4D continues to successfully deliver end-to-end solutions to new and existing clients across multiple industry verticals.

Cost optimisation, risk reduction and QHSES improvement have been core themes for Thomas Skellingsted over the past 10 years in his previous role as Global Head of Heavy Lift and Project Cargo for Hitachi ABB Power Grids. At ABB, he was in charge of the oversight and management of 10 strategic Transport Management Centres of Excellence, which are responsible for all ABB’s inbound and outbound supply chain and project logistics activities. The success of  Skellingsted’s work at ABB was built on the foundation of global stakeholder collaboration and teamwork, to design and implement innovative and optimised processes while consistently delivering strategic business improvement.
