AirBridgeCargo starts African services

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has started twice weekly Boeing 747 Freighter services to Africa, starting in the UK, then onto Germany, before flying to Gabon and South Africa, returning via Kenya.

The first service flew on 14 February and will operate on Thursdays and Sundays under an aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) contract with CargoLogicAir using its air operator certificate and flight numbers. The route is London Stansted – Frankfurt – Libreville – Johannesburg – Nairobi – Stansted.

ABC senior vice president for sales and marketing, Robert van de Weg says: “New points of destination and origin in Africa will provide our customers with direct service via ABC’s stations in Europe, Asia and the US. We are delighted to be working with CargoLogicAir as our ACMI partner to create these new opportunities for our clients.”
